Anywhere on the spectrum of mental dispositions we may find ourselves at – from clinical psychiatric illness to simply trying to make sense of our lives, grow as individuals, or understand our own minds – it is one of my guiding professional beliefs that we should all take advantage of the power of talk therapy. When done with honesty and vulnerability, talk therapy is cathartic and helps us see our issues more clearly and objectively. When we make order from chaos, things start being more manageable.
